The Institute of Technology of Building Materials and Components cooperates closely with the research centre AdMaS – Advanced Materials, Structures and Technologies. AdMaS (Advanced Materials, Structures and Technologies) is a modern science centre and comprehensive research institution in the field of construction, which is part of the Faculty of Civil Engineering of Brno University of Technology. We focus on the research, development and application of advanced building materials, structures and technologies not only in the field of construction, but also in transport systems and infrastructure of cities and municipalities.

CThe AdMaS Centre has modern laboratory facilities with state-of-the-art equipment with more than 250 instruments worth almost CZK 300 million. The complex consists of four buildings (three laboratory pavilions and one testing hall) with a total area of 5,372 m² (including laboratory, storage and office space). The research centre is part of a large research complex that is gradually being built in the Pod Palackého vrchem area in Brno-Králové Polje and Medlánky in the vicinity of other science centres (CEITEC, NETME), the South Moravian Innovation Centre, the Technology Park of Brno University of Technology (Faculty of Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, Business) or the Technology Incubator of Brno University of Technology. Employees of the Institute of Building Materials and Components Technology participate in research activities of the research group Development of Advanced Building Materials.
